Devoto Design Interior Contractor for the Radisson Roma Antica hotel

Devoto Design has recently completed another prestigious project as an Interior Contractor: the hotel Radisson Collection Roma Antica, located in the pulsing heart of the Eternal city a few steps away  from the Vittorio Emanuele II Monument and the Imperial Fora. This majestic hotel, made of 7 floors, 86 rooms and large public areas, represents the excellence of the Roman hospitality.

I HAVE LOVED THIS PROJECT since the very first phone call with Finint group, in the person of arch. Beatrice di Costanzo, and the first renderings. We should have delivered the first mock-up room around the 12th of March 2020. Seems like ages ago, but I still remember the feeling of impotence, of uncertainty that surrounded the “stop everybody, there is a pandemic, you can’t get out of your houses!”…  (Marianna Devoto, CCO)

CHALLENGE AND SUCCESS: DEVOTO DESIGN INTERIOR CONTRACTOR FOR THE RADISSON COLLECTION ROMA ANTICA HOTEL

Devoto Design was appointed as Interior Contractor, taking care of the realization of all the custom furniture that can be found in the rooms and public areas as well as the delivery of all the loose furniture and accessories that complete the interior decoration. We furnished the bar, restaurant, conference room, gym, spa, the skybar on the 8th floor, offering a complete turnkey service to our client.

The cooperation and synergy with the client (Finint group), the designer (Zanon Architetti Associati), with the Project Management company (Artelia), the Engineering company (GLA) as well as the coordination with the construction company (Pasqualucci) were essential to the success of this project. In fact, they made it possible to achieve the best quality of furniture and relationship.

TEAM SPIRIT AND LOGISTICAL EFFICIENCY: THE KEY ELEMENTS FOR SUCCESS

Our tried-and-tested work methodology helped our project manager, designers and logistics department grant a high performance at the service of the client.

“LOGISTICS WAS THE REAL PROTAGONIST OF THE PROJECT. Can you imagine the unloading and storage of 86 matresses, or 86 armchairs, 86 mini-bars? Well, picture them in a site where different kinds of company were working hard at the same time to hit the expected delivery time. The only possibility you have is to plan in advance and to have a structured work programme, but also to take all possible risks into consideration in order to be prepared to face them and manage them in case they arise. Well, this project was good workout for project management and site management.” (Nicola, Project Manager Devoto Design)

ELEGANCE AND FINESSE BY DEVOTO DESIGN FOR THE RADISSON COLLECTION ROMA ANTICA HOTEL

Specifically, we furnished:

  • the Rooms
  • the Bar
  • the Restaurant
  • the Conference Room
  • the Gym
  • the Skybar and
  • the SPA with the products of Fit-Interiors.

The interior decoration style is marked by a minimalistic choice and neat lines, by products and materials of high quality such as the wardrobes by Tecno, the Kvadrat textiles and the chairs by Miniforms and Molteni.

In the public areas, such as the restaurant and the skybar, we supplied top quality products with a more classic and elegant touch by Zanotta, Thonet, De Padova, Magis, and Moroso but also custom elements exclusively made by us. Among them, we can find the tables in smoked glass and bronzed brass, the custom sofas in velvet, the bar stations in pleated bronzed brass sheets and granite stone tops, an out-time-time elegance.

A special mention to the bar stations, that we clad with curving bronzed brass sheets. To get the final pleated effect, we had to create a male and female mould in steel thanks to which we obtained the texture the designer and client wanted.  It’s been hard to keep the top and bottom edges coplanar but it was even harder to fix the sheets on the wooden substructure. Because to clad one station we needed several juxtaposed sheets, but we had to make all the joints and fixing points invisible.
