National Bank of Ethiopia

Third project in Ethiopia for Devoto Design. This time it’s the renovation of the National Bank of Ethiopia in Addis Ababa.

Devoto Design was involved from the early stages of the feasibility study and research of the materials and finishes, playing a determining role in the definition of the requisites and in the choice of all accessories and designer furniture that can be found in the building.

We worked with Quinti, Montbel, Pedrali, Giorgetti to find the furniture accessories that could meet the style, functionality, and quality requirements of the client.

The renovation concerned 4 floors and many different areas such as the imposing lobby where we installed a gold-plated metallic screen more than 4 meters high or the Governor’s office where we installed a walnut wood ceiling carved to look like a world map, or the big semi-circular conference desk. We also delivered floor-to-ceiling closets, desks, pillars, counters, and kitchenettes.

The custom furnishings are characterized by attention to detail and the combination of different materials such as stones, gold finishes and wood.
