As part of the restyling project of La Cigale, Devoto realized two scenic sets dedicated to food – the Patisserie and the Chasse Bar.
The Patisserie is where wood becomes sinuous and flexible like a textile: the zebrawood slabs, vertically placed on the walls, open on the windows to allow the view on the outside and shape the seats at the base. These vertical elements connect to the ceiling, where the slabs move like waves and create a hollow that hosts a suspended lamp. In this very place, a desk in zebrawood assumes all the technical functions, with all the food equipment that allows the proper exhibition of the bakery products.
The Chasse Bar is enriched by two counterposed walls – the wall with the zebrawood desk, a strip of DuPont™ Corian® and a recess on the front side, and the wall with the fireplace.
